about

Mojo – a funky number written for my good friend Jo Luckman and her lovely Goldendoodle Mo.

I had written most of the tune but was missing a chorus and a title for the song. I was so excited when I realised that the title was right in front of me – Jo and Mo making Mojo! Once I had that I was able quickly to start singing the riff, “Talking 'bout your Mojo” and then I was away and could finish the song!

This was originally written for the Sussex Jazz Orchestra and it's been performed at a number of gigs with them. Again I've rescored it for Blue Calluna and given Lucy a bit of space in the middle for her to do her 'thang'!
